About Buddy's Pet and Equine Services

Hello, my name is Lydia and welcome to Buddy’s Pet and Equine Services. Pet and equine care has been something I have undertaken in my spare time for many years alongside my full time job – but I have finally decided to take the plunge and make my passion my work. I have some wonderful clients to whom I am extremely grateful for, however I am excited to now able to open my diary for new bookings too!

I am able to offer a range of pet and equine services that can be tailored to suit you and your pet's needs. I have extensive experience with horses and donkeys of all shapes, sizes, abilities and needs, as well as all domestic pets, including cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, rats and mice. I also have a passion for reptiles, so I can also take bookings for home visits to include parameter and temperature checks, feeds, water changes and health checks for snakes, lizards, arachnids, frogs and axolotls to name a few, to ensure all pets receive the best care whilst you are away from home.

I have been around animals my entire life, and there has never been a time that I have not been surrounded by a menagerie of animals. All my animals receive the utmost care, attention and love, and I treat all animals in my care exactly the same. I understand how important our fur and scale babies are to us, that they are part of the family and are loved dearly. I can assure you the highest level of compassion and care will be given to them at all times. 

I come from a strong equestrian background, having owned horses for more years than I can remember. I have competed in most disciplines, from dressage to driving and have a passion for anything equestrian. Due to this, I understand how stressful holidaying or working away can be when you have horses and struggle to find someone reliable and experienced to care for them in their home during your time away. I am able to undertake all aspects of livery and care at your premises, and have previously groomed for a horsedrawn wedding and funeral company. I have experience of working in the veterinary industry, both small and large animal practice, and am confident in administering medications, should your pet/horse need them whilst you are away from home.

I am DBS checked, and fully insured for dog walking, pet care, vet visits and also with KBIS and the British Grooms Association. 

Pet sitting can also offer security for your home while you are away.  Mail can be moved, curtains can be drawn and lights can be switched on.  There is no additional charge for this with my home visit services.

I send regular updates and photographs to all my clients to ensure peace of mind at all times as standard.
